Abstract
The installation of political billboards during election periods has been a subject of debate for some people concerned with their placemaking, in relation to their aesthetic and visual environmental implications. This article presents the views of individuals affected by the installation of billboards during elections, and explores their impact on the visual environment, particularly in the context of visual waste. This research aims to analyze the ethical complexities behind election billboards, which have become a source of controversy in urban aesthetics and environmental management. Through a quantitative approach, the researcher analyzed the issues during elections, and highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between political expression without damaging the visual beauty of public spaces. The results of this study have a positive impact on the future practice of billboard installation by improving better governance and aesthetics.
